What Kind of Friend Are You?

By MAD21

We all love a good quiz. Not only are they fun (well, some of them are), they help to teach us about what kind of person we are, and maybe give us ways to help us become a better person.

It's important, however, to keep a good perspective. The quizes are only meant for fun. Even though the questions and results of the quiz can make you think about who you are, there is no scientific proof that any of the information is true. You might take the same quiz the next day and get entirely different answers.

So with that said, here is our first quiz. Have you ever wondered,"What Kind of Friend You Are?" Take this fun little quiz and find out. When you're done taking the quiz. Come back here and post what your results were.

Kidlandia

By MAD21

Our kids love, love, love maps. Real maps. Fake maps. Maps they make themselves. Stories about maps. They just love them. We found this website that was created by someone who loved maps when they were little, too. And then grew up to work for Disney. Kidlandia ("A Kingdom for Every Kid") is a website where you can go and create your very own map. Including either real names or ones you make up. Basically, you choose one of four different map styles and then you fill in a bunch of information, and they will generate a really cool map that includes all the information you gave them. The final product can be a little pricy, but it's not too bad. The smallest print is a 12"x16"canvas scroll and costs $39.95.

Go check it out. Not only will kids love it, it is a really great gift idea! Here is a review of the site with comments from people who have tried it.

Book Review: Moose Tracks!

Title: Moose Tracks
By: Karma Wilson and Jack E. Davis
Reviewed By: EM, Age 5

The book is about moose who keeps finding moose tracks all over her house and doesn't know where they are coming from. Friends visit her like a goose, a chipmonk, and a pig (who leaves the same tracks as the moose). I really like the part about the hippo being in the bathtub! I think that this is a really great book. Parents should read it to their kids.
