Fingerprint Friday: Mater

By MAD21

We are lucky enough to live near the National Aquarium of Baltimore. We have gone often enough times that we have our favorite fish/marine life that we like to find each time we go. On our last visit, we got to watch Bayley the one year old dolphin in a show with his mom for the first time (for us); feeding time for our favorite three-flippered Green Sea Turtle named Calypso; the fish that will never be known as a Clown Fish again... Nemo; and this guy ---->

We call him Mater. He lives in the big tank with all the sharks, blow fish and a few others. We call him Mater because he reminds us of the little tow truck in the movie, Cars. You have to admit, there is a resemblance.

I am amazed at all the wonderful creatures that God created. We especially enjoy the ones that have things that make them stand out, that give them personality. I suppose you could say all animals have unique qualities that we enjoy. I'll never understand how some people can look at these creatures and not see the fingerprint of God.

Fellow blogger Beki at The Rusted Chain has a really great weekly post she does every Friday called "Fingerprint Friday." We are to look around and see where we can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Anywhere? Go find out where Beki saw God this week, and be sure to check out the other bloggers who linked their stories as well.

That's great that you live close and can go often. Mater is definitely the perfect name for that one!

Great photo...yep, does look a bit like Mater.
I agree that it would be hard to imagine these amazing creatures "just happening."

Ah, I really wish we lived near a decent zoo or aquarium. Kansas City zoo isn't really top tier, and we have no fish!
