Something to Think About
Go... Make a Difference

Let us not become weary in doing
good, for at the proper time we will
reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Choose Wisely

By Pat

Have you ever really thought about how your attitude toward God and your faith-walk affect those around you? I used to think my faith was a personal thing, something to hold close to myself and guard fervently. But through the years, as I have grown in my walk with the Lord, I have come to realize that nothing could be further from the truth.

In Exodus chapter 9 and chapter 10, Pharoah's refusal to turn his heart to God resulted in many different plagues sent down by God. These were warnings from God to repent and worship Him. However, no matter how horrible the plague or how other around him suffered because of him, Pharoah remained hardened towards the Lord, and his disobedience affected not only him, but everyone in his life. Everyone suffered because of Pharoah.

In contrast, Joseph, although sold into slavery and betrayed by his brother, continued to love and obey God, which resulted in great favor being shown not only to Joseph, but to those in his circle. Joseph's loved ones were blessed because of his love and devotion to God, which was passed along to those Joseph came into contact with.

So remember...it's important to remember that those around us will always be affected by the way we live. Choose wisely...choose God!!
