I hope everyone is enjoying Memorial Day weekend. My friend Sarah sent this video to me last week and I nearly fell off my chair laughing. I have seen several videos of people making up their own words to this song, but never this one. I nearly fell off of my chair I was laughing so hard. I thought I would share it with you. Thanks Sarah for sending it to me! It made my week.

Life Is Funny: Boys Are Gross

About a month ago, we went over to the "new" house of some family friends to help them paint and get ready to move in. The husband half of the couple, Mr. D, had the job of keeping all the kids entertained, their three and our two. He did a great job. They had a lot of fun going down to the river behind the house and hiking along the wooded areas. They collected tadpoles, jumped over logs and ran from a snake. All-in-all a terrific day.

My girls were finishing up dinner one night last week. They were sitting at the table and I was doing the dishes. They were chatting about how much they enjoy playing outside and going on hikes. They said they'd really like to go back over to our friend's house to "play in the forest" again, and started recounting all the fun they had had on their last adventure. If you have little kids you know that it is nearly impossible to finish anything... the dishes, a book, a phone call... a sentence. We love them like crazy, but our kids just don't seem to understand what it means to not interrupt.

Life Is Funny: Mother's Day 2010

I hope all the mom's who read our blog had a great day yesterday. It was a beautiful day on my side of the world. I started my day running a Mother's Day 5k fun run with friends before going to church with my family.

I got some terrific home-made cards and pictures from my girls, but since I've already shared how wonderful their drawings can be, I thought I would share the funniest store-bought cards I got. Aside from my youngest wishing me a "Happy Valentine's Day" all weekend, they really made me laugh.
