Blizzard 2010 Day Three

By MAD21

After two and a half days of shoveling our property and helping our neighbor's, we finally got to get in some play time today.

Unfortunately, the snow is still too powdery to build much of anything. My oldest had decided she wanted to try and build igloos this time, but when we found out the the snow was so dry, we knew that wasn't going to happen. So we settled for building a snow cave, two actually. We decided we should build 'condos' for each of the girls.

One of our favorite teens came to hang out with us and helped us try to piece together a snowman. No easy feat I tell ya. We even tried to go get a sqirt bottle to spray water on the snow just to get it to stick. We ended up using blocks of snow made by the snowplows since it was so impossible to get the snow from the yard to stick. I think our little snowman came out awesome. But I guess I'm partial.

I also finally got to shoveling a path on the deck so we can get downstairs (mainly for the dog).
Have I mentioned... that is A LOT of snow!
